A little turkey

Layton's class collected canned food for the entire month of November to donate to Helping Hands. Here is what they accomplished. How wonderful! Layton was all smiles during his feast at preschool.
All the kids enjoying their feast wearing their Pilgrim and Indian headbands. Layton made two Thanksgiving headbands in preschool. This one he did not like very much. He said, "I look kinda dorkish in this!" Ha ha He didn't like that the leaves didn't stand up correctly. He did like the pilgrim hat. He was proud of this one.

Open House at WPA

We had Fall Open House at WPA. Each grade got to display some of their work. Here is Logan's Safety First poster about Blizzards. Notice his new pose!
Logan got an award for placing 2nd in the Speech Meet.
He was the narrator part of the 2nd grade performance. He had an entire page of dialog to read and he did an excellent job. He didn't stumble on any words and was loud, etc. We are so proud of him!
They played a video complied from about a dozen children. The question they asked was, "What do you like about Wylie Prep?" I didn't know Logan was going to be on the video so I had to shoot this really quickly (that's why it's so fuzzy) His answer was, "Because you get to learn and talk about God in our class". It brought tears to my eyes and all I could think was, "That's why we spend the money each month to send him here." This is what we have chosen and this is what's right for our family.

A Turkey's Tail

First let me say how much I LOVE Layton's preschool. He goes to Little Voyagers at First United Methodist Church in Heath. His teacher is Ms. Beth and she is super. She does some things I did when I taught 1st grade! He is happy there and I am happy with him being there. He got to bring home the traveling book yesterday. It was called A Turkey's Tail. He was very proud to read it to me.

"We found a grasshopper...

...and it pooped!" This is what I heard over and over again. What funny children!
I know some people don't like feet but I love my children's feet. I even love when they are dirty. This shows they were really having some fun.
Dirty feet = happy children.
Poor little grasshopper-We let it go when they were finished sliding down the slide dozens of times!

again...?

Okay really, yesterday Landry totally tried to convince me she really had a willie (that's our word for the boy part) She even went so far as to TRY to show it to me. Good grief! I did not let her show me! She kept telling me she did have a willie, "yes, I DO have a willie mommy!" My princess has turned into a frog.

She is back to normal little girl Landry today (so far) I guess she just wants to be like her 2 big brothers some of the time.

Out of the mouths of...

Landry! As I was making breakfast this morning the littles were fighting over who could hand me the plates to put the cinnamon rolls on them. Landry and Layton were doing their usual bantering back and forth. I had my back turned but apparently Layton hit Landry. She began whaling and said, "Layton just hit me in the wienie!, he hit my wienie, he hit my wienie!"

Good grief, you can tell this poor little girl has 2 older brothers! We are starting anatomy class this morning after gmakits. ha ha

Out of the mouths of...

...my littles. Here is a picture of the kiddos on Sunday morning and a few funny things they have said.
1. Yesterday morning before church we headed downstairs. Landry went straight to the car. I said, "Landry, wait baby, we are early to church so come back in. She said, "WE ARE EARLY TO CHURCH!" She was very proud of us.
2. This morning I was getting Landry dressed. I laid her hairbow in her lap as I pulled her hair up into a ponytail. She said, "I don't want this bow, it doesn't match!" I said, "Yes it does, it has white, pink, orange and green just like your outfit." She replied, "but it doesn't have turquoise on it and my pants do."
3. Layton walked in and said, "Someone please spray some hairspray, it stinks in here!"
