Girls of Grace

Landry's dance studio had a "parent peek" show and tell during a recent class. We were able to come and watch them stretch out and practice their dances. The teachers gave each girl a precious little ballet shoe ornament. She did SO well and I was SO proud of her.

This is what BIG BROTHER Layton did while we watched Landry dance.

Birthday Tradition

One of our Gerhart Gang family traditions is to put balloons over someone on their birthday. These are pictures of Landry's birthday. What we do is blow up balloons the night before. Then we go in early in the morning and pile them up on the birthday girl (or boy) When they wake up they are piled high with balloons all over their bed. The kids love it so it has become a tradition for us over the last few years.
Then it usually turns into a balloon fight with all of us. It's a fun way to wake up on your birthday.
Our big girl is 4!

What has been going on at your house?

If anyone were to ask me that question, all I would need to do is show them some pictures. This tells it all!

Reindeer Food

The day befoer Christmas Adam decided we needed to make reindeer food. Logan decided he was too old to make it this year so Landry and Layton and Adam made it together. It was a mixture of oatmeal, glitter, sugar and cinnamon.

Then that night right before bed we all scattered it in the backyard. The eatmeal is for the reindeer to eat while Santa is in our house setting out our gifts. The glitter is to help Santa notice our house and the cinnamon sugar is to make the oatmeal taste better. We also left a snack for Santa to eat after he left our gifts. Logan chose to leave him a muffin, Layton chose marshamallows and Sunny D and Landry wanted to leave him Oreos. What a great snack!

Christmas Caroling

The week of Christmas a few families got together for a cookie exchange and to go Christmas caroling. It was so much fun. We went to our pastor's house, our children's minister's house and our preschool minister's house. The children all sounded so great and it was a super time. We are making such great memories and we have decided to make it an annual tradition.

These 2 smaller pictures were taken by our pastor's wife, Brenda Swofford. It was nice to see the view of all of us singing from the front door.

A Day With Dee

Dee came to get the kids the week before Christmas and she and Elvin spent the entire day with them. They ate lunch, went to the Frisco museum and made Gingerbread houses. They had a wonderful day! Thank you Dee for being such a wonderful part of our lives.
