Blue Bonnets, well sorta!

On the way home from Layton's preschool in Heath we saw a few little patches of blue bonnets. Logan has been learning about Texas so he told us all about how if we pick them we will go to jail. We decided to stop and take a few pics.

Very late Easter Post

Our Easter Bunny hides our eggs along with clues to find prizes. This year a clue was in each egg. Each clue sent the child to a place in the house to find a gift. Here are a few clues and prizes.

I just love to see my precious children all dressed up to go to church.

Happy Birthday Adam

Today is my sweet honey's 36th birthday. I hope you have a terrific day babe.

Landry: "My favorite thing about daddy is when he helps me clean up my room and when I help him clean up the table."
Logan: "I like it when he helps me with my schoolwork."
Layton: "I like daddy when he wrestles with me and when he tickles me."

Walking in the Truth

One of my very favorite things to see is my children all dressed up and excited for church. What a precious sight to see them dressed up to go to our wonderful church to worship God. They are so proud to be carrying their little Bibles and to be walking up to see their teachers and friends. What an adorable sight to see my children happy in our Lord.

Easter Egg Hunt

Layton's preschool class had an Easter egg hunt and egg roll. As we arrived they were posing in their Easter bonnets and ties.

Each student had to decorate his own wooden spoon. Layton colored his and we tied ribbons and bells on the end. He also decorated his own bag in class.
They all sat so patiently and waited for their turn.

What a sweet class listening to the Easter story as the parents "hid" the eggs all over the grass.

Layton drew #9. He was assigned to find all eggs with the #9 on them. Each child found their own number only.

Landry Louise

Well that's not really her name but I like to call her that.
Background: Landry is not a very good eater. She just won't try new foods. She exists mainly on cereal bars, fruit, cheese and yogurt. I have been talking to her a lot lately about trying new foods to be healthy, etc.

Logan and Landry and I were driving in the car. We drove past a church on 66 that always places a colored drape on a cross during this time of the year. It changes from purple to black and then white on Easter morning. We drove by on Thursday morning when it was a royal purple drape. Logan and I talked about it and when it would change color and why, etc. A few minutes went by and then Landry said, "Mommy, do you go to Heaven if you don't eat good foods?" Poor little thing, she thinks she can't go to Heaven unless she eats good food.

Then Logan had the perfect opportunity to share the Gospel with her. It was a funny and precious few moments with the 2 of them.

Spring Break

Spring break was full for us! We did lots of fun things. The boys went camping,

went fishing,
had carpet picnics with everything plates (Allie and I used to make these for ourselves when we were little. They are plates with anything and everything you could find in the pantry or refrigerator and eat it from the same plate like a buffet.)

played in the snow (good grief),

ate lunch and played with friends,

played at home and acted silly,

had bubbly baths at Nana and Papa's house,

made a stuffed animal playground,

and had an all around nice and relaxing time.
