Randomness

Here are a few pics from last week. No theme, just cute pics of my cute littles. Here is Landry and mommy before church last week.

All 3 before church.

Movie night, I rented ET for the kids to watch. They loved it. Landry calls it TI and wants to eat, Little Pieces, (Reeses Pieces)

Sleepy boy after VBS last week.

Sunday School Swimming

We have had a lot of very fun times with our Sunday School class lately. It seems that it all has involved swimming. Here is Jackson Cilio with Landry.

Just out of the pool and enjoying some pizza. Layton, Logan, Tate Marecle, Jackson Cilio, Campbell Cilio, Addie Timmerman, Landry, Doak Timmerman.

It all comes back to Jesus

We had Vacation Bible School last week at our church. The theme was Boomerang Express-It all comes back to Jesus! We all had a great time. I taught kindergarten and loved it as usual. Here is Landry on her first day in her VBS t-shirt. Her class had 3 girls and 3 boys. Landry, Lily Smith, Claire Urbantke, Brody Sweet, Trenton Bridges and Travis Reid. Super group of kiddos!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Logan loves the spotlight! This photo was in the end of week slide show too. He loved it!

How sweet are these precious 4 year olds? They are all listening so attentively to the music. Blake McIntire is behind Layton, Jackson Cilio is beside him along with Ashlyn Lloyd.

Logan said with tears in his eyes the last day, "I just don't know why we can't have VBS every day of the summer" For any of you out there who teach VBS, you know. It is so tiring but very worth it.

First day in bathing suits

This was the first day to put on the bathing suits and go out to play in the sprinkler. Adam was like an old man and sat in the chair and sprayed them with the hose.

Saying Yes

We should all try to say yes more often to our children. This day I anticipated what Layton and Landry would ask and I offered before they asked. Pat (Adam's mom) send us Moon Sand. Who out there HATES Moon Sand? It's a really cool idea and it is really neat to work with but it is so messy! It is bright colored sand that sticks together.

As soon as we played with the Moon Sand I got out our paint. I hadn't even gotten it all out before they were finished and ready to move on to something else! ARG!

Love the tongue.

Bible School, Bible School

Bible School, Bible School, where we work and play.
Let's all go to Bible school and Worship God today.

Am I the only one who knows this song? Back in the day when I was in elementary school and I attended Bible school this is the song we sang each year. This was back in the days when Steve Swofford sat on the steps of the sanctuary and played his guitar and sang with us. Okay, I am serious! He really did! He sang songs like, Do Your Ears Hang Low? and Nobody Likes Me, Everybody hates me, Guess I'll Go Eat Worms! Who can picture Steve doing this? Well, he did!
Here we are this morning on our way out the door to VBS. I put all 3 tries because between them all we each look fine. ARGH! Layton is saying here, "No Landry, don't put your arm around me!"

Logan says, "You can put your arm around me Landry."

The only person who can take a picture of all of us where we all look good is Kevin Parker and now he has gone and moved to Germany! I guess we will have to make a road trip to him for more family pics next year! ha ha

First Day of Summer

On the first day of summer I was trying to be a good mommy. I made a fun lunch. I put their food in different slots of a cookie pan. They were so excited and loved it.

Field Day

Field Day was a fun day at Vernon Elementary. We actually had to go to school on Memorial Day as a makeup day for the ice earlier in the year. They made it field day. As you can tell, Layton and Landry came too.

Most of the events were team events. Here is the 3 legged race that Logan did with Brandon Dittrich.

Softball throw was an individual event. He got 4th in this.

Tug of War was a team event and our class won for all the 1st grade.

This was a fun team event where they had to hold hands and then pass the hula hoop around the entire circle.

Little sweeties always love to join logan at school.

Logan ran the 80 meter dash and he got 1st place out of 6 runners.

Kevin Parker Photography

We have a good friend who is an excellent photographer (and also a pediatric dentist). He is in the Army and he and his family will be going back to Germany this month so I wanted him to take the kiddos pictures before he and his family left. His site is www.kevinparkerphotography.blogspot.com if you want to check out his other work. His wife is Marnie and she is a wonderful talent as well. She makes great hairbows (of which Landry has about 25) and jewelry. Kevin took tonz of pics and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them all. I told Adam we will have to move to get more wall space. Here are some of the proofs. It will take a few days to get them all posted but these are my favorite poses. We were in downtown Rockwall and I love the location. I'm not very urban usually but I'm so glad I did this location because I think it turned out great! The children acted very good (even Layton) and I was so proud and excited.

This is my favorite pose and the only real request I had of Kevin. I think they look so angelic and loving with each other. Those boys are truly big brothers to Landry. They love her so much.

same one in color. Do you like black and white or color better?
